Accountant

An after school learning center is looking to hire an accountant: with minimum 5 years experience in UAE

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations based on financial data.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP or IFRS, and assist with internal and external audits.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.

Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software(ZOHO) and other financial tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software ZOHO and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and ethical conduct, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
