Rail Country Manager
As the Country Manager for Egypt, you will lead and manage the overall operations and business development activities for an international engineering company. Your role involves overseeing the country management team, ensuring that departmental performance aligns with the company's strategic goals, and driving continuous improvement in key operational areas such as safety, quality, and efficiency. You will act as the official representative, maintaining relationships with stakeholders and promoting the company in business forums and official meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the country's general managers and staff, including recruitment, performance monitoring, and career development.
Drive business growth by developing strategies and executing high-level objectives in alignment with global goals.
Ensure compliance with the company's policies related to health, safety, quality, environment, and ethics.
Oversee the development and implementation of country-specific strategies in collaboration with project teams and the MEA Director.
Approve and monitor country budgets and investment plans, ensuring financial targets are met.
Foster relationships with clients, governmental bodies, and industry partners to enhance business opportunities and market presence.
Represent the company in official capacities, including meetings, congresses, and industry events.
Drive the enforcement and improvement of health, safety, and quality standards to meet and exceed company and industry benchmarks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the rail industry.
Fluent in English and Arabic is essential
Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
