Development Standards:

Develop and maintain the national policies and regulations/internal processes and procedures related to Aviation Environment while ensuring continuous enhancements as per the standards.

Studies and Analysis:

Conduct research and studies post participation in international, regional, local committees/conferences and working groups and analyze the aviation data and develop policies and regulations accordingly.

Develop, research and analyze the environmental strategies with international aviation requirements.

Prepare / support the preparation of any environmental related working paper for ICAO or any international party.

International Contribution:

  • Represent GCAA in any national/international event that is related to environment, if required.
  • Coordinate with internal and external aviation stakeholders on reporting the environment performance to mitigate environment impact with providing achievement time frame.

Planning

Implement the established environmental KPIs, targets and requirements based on GCAA, ICAO and UAE federal government guidelines, visions and directions while ensuring departmental strategies are aligned with the overall environmental objectives.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

Contribute in formulating policies, systems, processes and procedures so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality in accordance with customer service standards.

Internal Surveillance Program of the Sector

Implement corrective actions raised against the Sector under internal surveillance program to ascertain international standards and continuous improvement.

External Audits

Support the administration of activities by external entities on request.

Document Management

Maintain records of relevant reports, certifications, and general correspondence to ensure proper document management

Reporting

Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability

Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
