Job Responsibilities :-


  • Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop as well as driving sales, keeping cost in line with the budget.
  • Helps the Store Manager with the unit’s cash handling.
  • Forecast sales, focusing on productivity to meet the sales goals. Achieve total sales ahead of budget
  • o exceed budgeted managed contribution
  • Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers
  • Have a strong leadership presence and control in the store, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality merchandise.
  • Coach and guide the staffs for product knowledge and upcoming new products.
  • Prepares daily and monthly reports as required
  • Perform monthly inventory and monitor stock levels whenever required
  • Responsible of ordering of stocks for weekly replenishment.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes all merchandise calendar direction, sales marketing and promotions promptly.
  • Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends in the same industry, understanding forthcoming customer and monitor what the local markets are doing.
  • Receives regular vendor deliveries and stocks sales floor promptly.
  • Manage and control the damages and losses in the store
  • Know the store business SWOT analysis well
  • Comply with all SOPs as detailed in the operation manual
  • Maintain discipline in the store at all given times
  • Maintain peaceful relationships within the team & promote camaraderie
  • Identifying training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed.
  • Support all members of the team to reach their full potential and create opportunities to develop team members’ career.
  • Work within established guidelines and policies for training and development.
  • Demonstrates desired behaviors for staff including driving sales, handling difficult or complicated sales and follow up with customers.
  • To maintain strict levels of confidentiality with regards to all areas of the business particularly commercial information and personal details of employees.


Key Criteria Required :


  • At least 7 years of retail (Retail Confectionary/ Food Retail) experience within the region of which at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Graduate in a related discipline
  • Sound and in-depth knowledge of retail store operations
  • An excellent communicator & negotiator
  • Fluency in English is a must. Other languages will be added advantages
  • Sharp business acumen and passion for food retail
  • Ability to lead multicultural and global teams successfully
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a complicated business
