Job Description
Objective:-
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure and ensuring the efficient and secure delivery of IT services to our Sister Company.
What you'll do!
- Managing data backup and the operations of system security, such as firewalls, antivirus, and user authorization.
- Overseeing the installation of hardware and software as required along with regular updates, and work with the implementation team to configure hardware and software.
- Monitoring and analyzing system performance and provide valid recommendations and suggestions to improve performance from an operational standpoint.
- Supporting the implementation team in resolving escalated issues and problems raised by other stakeholders.
- Providing guidance, support, troubleshooting, and escalation to stakeholders and clients alike via a ticketing system (e.g., JIRA Service).
- Managing and preparing budgets and cost-saving initiatives to present to executives and higher-level management.
- Collaborating with external vendors to acquire contracts for services such as cloud hosting and renewing software licenses, etc.
- Developing, implement, and enforce best practice policies and procedures for the IT department.
- Ensuring compliance with local GDPR guidance.
What you should have!
- Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science or any related field
- From 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated experience within an IT Management role, or an operations Management role with a strong education in IT
- Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux environments
- Possess DBA skills to administer, install, and configure various databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Oracle), monitor performance, and manage live DB backups
- Strong understanding of networks, their operation, security, and cloud-based computing
- Excellent leadership abilities and the ability to work with a diverse, multicultural team
