  • Quality Leadership
    • Lead and coordinate the OKQU quality team (O/H and Project) with a focus on standardisation, verification, continuous improvement, leading practice and communication.
    • Engage with leadership and the broader business to champion sponsorship and a focus on quality in projects and across each discipline.
    • Increase levels of interaction with the quality team, assurance and operations – meetings, networks, and other forums.
    • Improve interaction and coordination between Quality and other functions, especially Project Delivery, Engineering, Contracts and Procurement.
    • Develop, support and mentor our key quality personnel.
    • Understand the contractual relationship for New Energy projects so that quality efforts can be focussed to the areas of greatest risk exposure.
  • Enhance Quality Capability to Create Value
    • Develop trending and analysis capability focused on quality themes to strengthen insights for decision-making. Utilise digital technology to assist with the identification of gaps and themes to allow critical customer-facing and project-facing assurance resources time to interact to gain improved insights for decision-making.
    • Manage and refine the OKQU Assurance Plan activities by focusing activity on key risks and opportunities for improvement, using innovative methods to provide maximum impact.
    • Coordination of ISO 9001:215 certification activities as they relate to the business.
  • Drive a program of continuous improvement – Quality ERB
    • Drive a continuous improvement program for Quality that includes articulating and communicating the cost of poor quality and opportunity to improve.
    • Instigate a Quality Event Review Board process in the business to raise the profile of quality amongst Project Directors and Managers.
    • Support the implementation of a cost-of-quality process and ensure necessary actions are implemented in a timely manner.
    • Work with the WES to automate the development of verification and surveillance checklists and improvement of assessment templates to allow more efficient data extraction to provide insightful information and reports.
    • Support the Quality Performance & Quality Event Leadership Response expectations by leading and ensuring the support of top leadership where quality performance impacts the organization negatively.
  • Networks and Collaboration
    • Collaborate globally to share best practices, and lessons learnt and improve knowledge management.
    • Contribute to the success of relevant internal and external quality networks.
    • Assist with the coordination of Regional Networks as required.
  • Champion the use of the Management and Knowledge Systems and Standard Worley Tools
    • Promote the use of the Worley Management and Knowledge Systems to ensure projects are meeting minimum standards and achieve better consistency of project outcomes.
Job Specific Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of risk, quality, health, safety, sustainability business and project processes and practices
  • Ability to create detailed strategy and plans to assess and improve the quality and effectiveness of Assurance and Project Delivery processes
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to lead teams, prioritize activities, meet commitments and proactively manage time frames for self and others
  • Ability to perform and direct detailed analysis, identify, interpret and explain trends and evaluate critical information for decision-making
  • Data dexterity to match different data sets to produce insightful information

Industry Specific Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in senior quality or risk roles with a leading project delivery organization or equivalent project delivery experience
  • Significant exposure to HSS processes and systems
  • Experience in the Middle East with and preferred background in the Oil & Gas and New Energy sectors
  • Has experience on major or large projects, leading quality programs and innovative quality improvement programs

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Minimum requirement - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Information Technology/Engineering/Science from an accredited university or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Lead Auditor qualifications and experience
  • Expert in MS Office applications, MS SharePoint, PowerBI, networking and collaboration programs
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)

Quality Capability:

  • Knowledge and understanding of business processes and their application and is commercially astute.
  • Involved in the development of new systems and processes as we transition to more automated and intelligent ways of working.
  • Assessment skills and experience to develop Terms of Reference, undertake assessments and reviews, write assessment reports and direct others to do the same.

  • Flexible to travel as required, including travel related to projects and to support other Worley offices
