Mechanical Engineer

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a system-based turnkey solutions company in Dubai, UAE. The client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with solid project and site experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing mechanical systems in building projects, with a focus on HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing. Other responsibilities are

• Design and review mechanical systems in buildings, including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems.
• Estimate and prepare resources, such as manpower, materials, equipment, and tools, required for mechanical works prior to execution.
• Plan and analyse construction methodologies, recommending the best options to the MEP Manager for approval.
• Assist the project team in procuring mechanical systems.
• Review material submittal and shop drawings submitted by subcontractors or design consultants.
• Perform cost estimation for mechanical works.
• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of all mechanical works.
• Ensure smooth coordination between subcontractors for efficient project execution.
• Manage and provide technical support to the mechanical team on-site.
• Ensure all works comply with approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and applicable local, national, and international standards.
• Maintain adherence to quality standards in all mechanical site works.
• Attend regular meetings with clients, civil engineers, and consultants to provide updates on project progress.
• Raise work inspection requests as necessary.
• Resolve any unexpected technical issues or challenges on-site.
• Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems in coordination with the consultant.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Project Manager.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Project and site experience is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ASHRAE, Duct Fittings, HAP, and Duct Sizer.
