We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Billing Assistant. As a Billing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for our clients. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in effectively managing client accounts and resolving any billing issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- Process billing invoices and send them to clients in a timely manner.
- Update client accounts with any changes to billing information.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and records.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with clients to ensure prompt payment.
- Research and resolve any billing inquiries or disputes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in billing or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with billing software and systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
