The Associate Project Manager leads and supports teams in delivering projects across one or more business units to ensure effective customer delivery of products and services. Success in this role is measured by the ability to lead and assist in project delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner, while learning to meet customer expectations and supporting senior project managers and program managers

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management to Deliver Business Results -

managing and assisting in managing projects within constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, contributing to the value delivered to customers and cost efficiency for the company.

  • Initiate, plan and manage small to medium complexity projects with broad organizational or business impact, including creating workflows, defining tasks, and developing high-level and detailed timelines and project plans and other project artifacts.
  • Support the planning process for assigned projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to help shape project vision and purpose.
  • Help facilitate decision-making discussions by preparing data, facts, and industry standards for senior team members and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing customer expectations by supporting the implementation of project controls and gaining knowledge of key project elements.
  • Follow established project management processes, standards, and governance, supporting the project lifecycle and agile scrum methodology under supervision.
  • Organizing project governance arrangements, post-project reviews, and program-level workshops.
  • Contribute to quality reviews and coordinate tasks that support quality objectives aimed at achieving business results.
  • Maintain communication with key stakeholders to ensure projects are smoothly transitioned into normal service.

Risk Management & Problem Solving

–Managing and assist in defining , tracking and reporting risks, contributing to the development and maintenance of a risk mitigation plan and risk register.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project risks, challenges, and opportunities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support senior project managers / program managers in project oversight, ensuring that risks related to technical, schedule, and financial aspects are proactively addressed to meet customer needs.

Planning & Coordination –

Managing and assisting in the Planning , prioritization, and resource allocation to help ensure the sustainable delivery of program goals and customer needs.

  • Developing and maintaining work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and financial plans to help achieve key milestones and financial targets.
  • Support updates to project timelines and plans, assisting with adjustments based on project scope changes, delays, and risk mitigation.
  • Help coordinate internal resources and maintain agreements related to time and cost allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help align roles and responsibilities, facilitating the achievement of program milestones and addressing challenges.

Collaboration & Reporting -

Assist in establishing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for projects, helping to clarify work-streams, deliverables, risks, and milestones.

  • Support project and program-level reporting, assisting with status updates and recurring communication with stakeholders.
  • Help collect and analyze information on project performance, contributing to the achievement of project objectives.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings to align customers and project teams with ongoing plans.
  • Facilitate discussions between teams under the guidance of senior project managers to help achieve program objectives.
  • Help maintain collaboration and commitment to KPIs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure project documentation is kept up to date and communicate it to relevant stakeholders under supervision.

Education, Experience And Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (IT, Business, Education, Project/Program Management) or equivalent work experience.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation) preferred but not required. Willingness to pursue certifications is a plus.
  • A master’s degree is an advantage.
  • UAE Security Clearance may be required based on the role.

Familiarity with project management tools through coursework or internships is advantageous
