About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the team at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Act as a brand steward, ensuring all internal and third-party marketing and communications efforts align with the overall brand strategy and support the business and commercial objectives
  • Develop hotel-level brand, commercial and operational assets and collateral and ensure alignment with brand guidelines
  • Support the Director in conducting hotel-level brand audits to ensure delivery of brand standards hotel-wide 
  • Support the Director in creating and managing engaging and differentiating content for multiple products (e.g., rooms, F&B, spa, C&I etc.) across multiple platforms, adhering to Jumeirah's Visual Style Guidelines and approval processes
  • Provide planning and operational support for photo and video shoots, ensuring that operational processes and visual style guidelines are always adhered to
  • Copywriting, design, editing and production of flyers, posters, direct mailers, and online materials such as brochures, presentations, emails, infographics, videos, and newsletters
  • Maintain the hotel’s image library – ensure that all assets are recent and aligned with brand standards
  • Support the Director in the development of an annual social plan and calendar, in alignment with Group strategy and guidelines
  • Provide planning and operational support for social shoots, ensuring that operational processes and visual style guidelines are always adhered to
  • Maintain the hotel’s social media channels, and occasionally contribute to the corporate social accounts. Ensure alignment with Group strategy and standards
  • Develop and distribute monthly social media reports
  • Support the Director in activating strategic luxury partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to enhance the brand positioning of the hotel Direct to Consumer Marketing
  • Support the Director in delivering and optimizing hotel-level brand, tactical and always-on digital marketing D2C campaigns across multiple channels, including OTA’s. Ensure alignment with Jumeirah brand standards
  • Manage the content on the website and mobile app ensuring alignment with the Jumeirah brand and content standards, as well as focus on improving direct conversion rates
  • Manage the content on in-house communications channels, including the Guest Entertainment System, for example
  • Support the Director in the development and distribution of post-campaign reports
  • Conduct regular brand audits across multiple digital channels to ensure the hotel is correctly positioned, and brand standards are respected
  • Support the Director in delivering loyalty-related initiatives and campaigns to support in the achievement of hotel acquisition and retention strategies and targets
  • Support the Director in the development of an annual CRM / email distribution calendar.
  • Develop emails, with the guidance of the Director, ensuring the achievement of brand standards and optimization of performance
  • Raise purchase requests and invoices for supplier payments
  • Liaise with Finance, ensuring timely payment of suppliers
  • Support the team in managing the P&L budget in line with the department annual forecast
  • Support the Director in developing weekly and quarterly projects status updates
  • Support the Director in developing competitor analysis reports
  • Schedule and attend regular meetings with key Stakeholders
  • Adhere to Hotel and Company standards, Business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health & Safety policies, Grooming standards, punctuality/ attendance procedures and Quality standards


About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Marketing experience, gained within a leading global luxury hospitality or recognised global luxury brand Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Marketing Communications, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University
  • Proven experience in managing integrated marketing and communications plans and budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in executing brand, commercial and CRM campaigns and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in executing photo and video shoots
  • Demonstrated experience in managing PR-related initiatives – events, media visits etc.
