Your Job

Guardian Industries is looking to hire a Procurement specialist at our office in Cairo facility to join our global Procurement team.

Our Team

This key position will manage the purchasing process, efficient PO tracking, supplier onboarding, business stakeholder engagement and support other enterprise initiatives for our middle eastern operations

What You Will Do

  • Become a business partner to understand requirements of their customer, typically operations or engineering (Validate purchase requisitions, support for urgent/emergency orders, supplier engagement etc.)
  • Training and support to business stakeholders in operations and engineering
  • Working knowledge of operating in purchasing and/or ERP systems
  • Executing procurement process- Placement of Purchase Orders (PO).
  • PO Management
  • Create relationship with suppliers (checking PO is delivered on time to the supplier, receive acknowledge from them follow up of lead times, etc.)
  • Support Invoice resolution working with suppliers, accounts payable and business stakeholders
  • Close cooperation with Sourcing Team and other capabilities
  • Ability to support and actively participate in enterprise level management initiatives.
  • Ensure processes align to Procurement strategy and policies
  • Execute strategy and policies set by Procurement. Be the regional voice of procurement for the region.
  • Work proactively with other capabilities to create superior value and meet Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) expectations.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, International business or similar.
  • Previous experience in procurement – minimum 1 years.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply process
  • Teamwork
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft office suite
  • Fluent English


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with the Procurement systems (for ex. COUPA, Infor, SAP, Oracle or similar systems)
  • Basic accounting knowledge, invoicing, accounts payable cycles, cost analysis
