Associate Accounting Analyst – Chevron Egypt

Overview Of Position

The position is open only for Egyptian nationals to provide finance-related support to Chevron midstream activities. The Financial Analyst acts as the primary liaison between various functional teams in Egypt, external & internal auditors Tax services, and the Manila Shared Services Center. Responsible for accounting activities across the enterprise, whether embedded in BU, in Corp, or FSS.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Financial accounting-related activities include month-end reporting, intercompany allocations, and financial analysis.

Provide accounting policy advice to the business.

Support All different corporate tax reporting, inspections, tax return reviews, and queries for Midstream and Upstream businesses.

Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, and SOX testing.

Participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned from time to time for Midstream and Upstream business.

Roll out corporate policy, internal controls, and procedures.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business performance.

This role interacts closely with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Operations, Tax, Legal, and other Finance Teams across regions including Manila Shared Service Center.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy and Finance.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity or performing Accounting-related activities and Tax. Preference for candidates with strong tax experience, including preparation of corporate tax returns, management of WHT, VAT, and salary taxes.

Experience in SAP, and Power BI.

Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze data & provide insightful analysis that illustrates key cause and effect, business, and value drivers. Abilities in manipulating data with Excel and Power BI applications

Ability to relate financial results to operational events and deliver results.

Teamwork/Interpersonal - Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline team environment. Must be able to maintain/develop effective relationships with various cross-functional teams. Externally, must be able to maintain/develop effective relationships with consultants and government agencies and leverage their expertise to drive business outcomes and apply guidance to business needs.

Communication - Ability to communicate and present complex issues clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.

Candidates must speak, read, and write fluent Arabic and be able to communicate with a high level of proficiency, both written and oral, in English.
