Laboratory Technician

Black & Grey HR is hiring on behalf of a renowned University in the UAE. Our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting the day to-day operations of the university's laboratories, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials required for experiments and research activities.
• Assist faculty, researchers, and students in setting up and conducting experiments and tests.
• Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste and maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Monitor inventory and order laboratory supplies to maintain adequate stock.
• Follow and enforce all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for laboratory experiments.
• Calibrate, test, and maintain instruments to ensure accurate readings and results.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
• Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician, preferably within an academic or research environment.
• Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty and students.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using laboratory management software is a plus.
