Could you be the full-time Rail Infrastructure Technician in Egypt we’re looking for?

Following responsibilities are expected from the Lead Recovery Technician (Station Attendant):

  • Leadership – Lead a shift of Recovery Technicians (Station Attendants), define and communicate performance standards, monitor and measure employees’ performance against performance standards, safety rules, work standards and operating procedures. Coach and develop employees to provide the appropriate level of quality, quantity and behaviors in their assigned duties.
  • Collaborate – Create effective relationships with managers, peers, subordinates and clients by displaying conduct that inspires trust, respect and reflects a shared purpose in achieving organization’s goals. Collaborate across departments to effectively manage systems operating plans, emergencies and other events that affect revenue service.
  • Plan & Schedule – Develop shift work schedules that effectively and efficiently uses resources to support revenue service, maintenance assignments and special events. Develop and implement contingency plans for changes or events that affect planned work and ensure plans have the least impact on revenue service. Competent in solving problems and executing effective corrective measures. Ensures all appropriate measures have been taken to prevent or minimize reoccurrence of problems.
  • Administration – Record, review, track and analyze inspections, budgets, overtime, attendance, performance discussions and other administrative processes as required, follow-up and follow-through ensuring commitments are met, issues are resolved and appropriate and complete communication have been fulfilled. Responsible, directly or indirectly, for personnel actions such as commendations, recommendations for promotions, disciplinary actions and resolving staff grievances/complaints at the earliest stages.
  • Safety – Enforce safety rules, procedures and monitor/audit employees’ activities to ensure employees are in compliance and adhere to safety rules. Investigate and address employee safety concerns and issues. Report completely and honestly incidents/accidents and other issues that are raised to your attention.
  • Ensures the Recovery Technicians (Station Attendants) required level of technical knowledge is maintained through on-the-job training, re-training and re-certification and evaluations and examinations as established by the CMS. The Lead Recovery Technicians (Station Attendants) will be trained under the “Train the Trainer” scheme to function as the trainer for Recovery Technicians (Station Attendants).
  • Works in the position of Recovery Technicians (Station Attendants) during periods of staff unavailability to ensure consistency of operations. Arranges coverage in stations to meet short term vacancies.
  • Holds regular safety meetings and daily Job Briefings.
  • Will require flexibility and willingness to support an organization in a 24/7 work environment. Works variable hours and shifts.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in electrical or mechanical maintenance - Higher Diploma or Institute is a plus

Knowledge:

  • EHS basics awareness
  • Troubleshooting method
  • Technical drawings literacy
  • Technical Experience
  • General principles of maintenance
  • Power Supply maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance

Experience:

  • At least 7-10 years in the electrical / mechanical maintenance environment
  • Experience in Rail is a plus.
  • Computer Literacy is a plus.
  • English Language is a plus.
