The Quality Assistant assists the Senior Quality Manager in checking the functions of the quality system. S/he monitors quality records and ensures that they are filled and handled properly and that documented procedures are implemented and followed by all staff members without exception.
Job Purpose:
Under general supervision, the implementation of the quality system in all departments is inspected by monitoring records daily to ensure compliance with established work procedures.
Key Result Areas:
- Ensure adherence to the Quality System in all departments by conducting daily random checks as assigned and reporting on the implementation of activities and usage of forms as per procedures.
- Report any practices taking place that are not documented in the work procedures.
- Assist the senior Quality staff in verifying corrective action of NCR and looking into solutions for persisting problems.
- Inspect complete or partial flights, meals, products and processes as and when directed by the senior Quality staff.
- Represent the senior Quality staff at any time of the 24-hour day as per the roster approved by the Senior Quality Manager.
- Perform other duties associated with the quality function, as assigned.
- Report any complaints on his shift to senior Quality staff.
- Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established by ISO 9001: 2000 international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting EKFC Quality Policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
O or A Level in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification (must have)
Work Experience:
Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in the Quality Control function in an ISO-regulated environment. Should have completed minimum on-the-job training and mandatory training.
