Handyman (Maintenance Officer & Housekeeping)

Purpose: Carryout Housekeeping service, providing assistance to Technicians and reliving technicians as and when needed under the guidance of Facility Coordinator/ Facility Supervisor in the assigned building to ensure trouble-free working environment for staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues that may require repair or maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical issues / cables, and addressing HVAC problems.
  • Conduct repairs on equipment such as furniture, doors, and windows.
  • Assemble and install fixtures such as shelves, curtains, and cabinets.
  • Detect and troubleshoot problems with equipment or buildings and liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are completed within a reasonable time frame.
  • Follow safety procedures and always maintain a safe work environment.
  • Manage inventory of repair supplies and equipment and ensure that all stocks are replenished as needed.
  • Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
  • monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
  • Forwarding and reporting any complaints /concern raised by client
  • Identify issues proactively, report to Helpdesk for logging them and act immediately for resolution
  • Assist FS/ FC /technicians in monthly EHS inspection of the building to find shortcomings
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections carried out.
  • Attend all PPM on Site.
  • Raise Hazard Report.
  • Follow up on Landlord issues.
  • Carry out daily walk around inspection of the facility and update the checklist
  • Sweep, scrub and mop floors
  • Vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
  • Shampoo carpets and rugs
  • Dust furniture fittings and sanitizing telephones
  • Clean windows/Glass as scheduled
  • Having knowledge on MSDS (Material data safety sheet) for chemicals being used
  • Supporting pantry service, taking the client representative order request for food and purchasing from nearby malls within premise.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Arabic is a must, English is an advantage
  • Primarily from Housekeeping back ground (Technical knowledge would be an added advantage)
  • Handy with tools used for Housekeeping service
