Overall Role Purpose: The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading, developing and delivering DHL Egypt’s talent acquisition goals in the most effective and efficient manner. The person will act as a consultant and work with hiring managers to deliver the end-to-end talent acquisition process including advertising vacancies, screening & shortlisting, assessment & selection, offer and the employee onboarding process.
The person will ensure that our approach to talent acquisition strengthens DHL’s position as an Employer of Choice; and all recruitment practices are professionally managed to hire the best fit talent for DHL and an excellent experience for all candidates.
Recruitment Planning:
- Manage the recruitment strategy and process. Provide advice on recruitment methods, channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Agencies, and Universities) and selection tools (e.g. psychometric, ability, other tests etc.). Ensure processes, policies and approaches are regularly refreshed to hire the best fit talent
Employer branding:
- Create external/internal job adverts to attract a suitable pool of candidates through appropriate channels, leveraging new technology & cost effective recruitment methods. Ensure that the job adverts positions DHL’s market leading recognition as a Great Place to Work
Workforce planning:
- Manage the current and forecasted recruitment requirements and ensure that the business is supported with the required number of employees, with the required skills, at the required time.
- Provide innovative solutions to deal with ad-hoc/seasonal recruitment requirements
Best fit Selection Tools:
- Use selection methodology that enables DHL to test the candidate’s ability and match; such as competency interviews, tests, behavioural-based questions and psychometric tools. Work with line managers to define recruitment needs, establish role requirements, sourcing plan and execute the sourcing plan. Support the selection process and interviewing
- Demonstrate high level of customer orientation including regular consultation with business managers on recruitment needs, status of hires and areas of improvement in the selection process.
- Provide timely and appropriate development feedback to internal & external applicants
- Create, implement and manage Graduate /College Recruitment and Internship programs to support DHL’s commitment to developing young talent
Measurement:
- Provide reports to measure recruitment quality & efficiency standards, analyze hiring effectiveness to identify trends and efficiencies. Provide recommendations and implement solutions to improve
Onboarding:
- Manage the onboarding process leveraging global and divisional processes/tools with local practices. Ownership of frameworks, tools and programs for effective integration of new employees their roles up to probationary review
Recruitment processes:
- Ensure that employee selection and appointments are carried out in a structured and systematic approach to meet HR policy and local legislation
- Identify and participate in best practice benchmarking providing recommendations & implementing best in class recruitment practices
As part of the middle management team, this role plays is involved in cross team business projects, HR strategy planning and other people/HR related projects
Employee Engagement:
- Management of the monthly EOM and EOY co-ordination with the functions including management of the newsletter
- Support in the roll out of employee events included in both MENA & local calendar
- Management of the EOS process and any other surveys

Knowledge & Skills:
- 5-7yrs experience in a Talent Acquisition/Recruitment role with proven results in successfully hiring a large number of roles at mid-senior level.
- Psychoetric Testing and Assessment Centre qualifications. Strong experience in competency based interviewing.
- Hands on experience in E-recruitment systems and online sourcing channels.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English. Arabic is a distinct advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills & ability to engage with people at all levels & cultures.
- High level of customer orientation.
- Must be good at planning and prioritizing in a multi-tasking environment.
- Competent at giving feedback, guiding & influencing.
