Your tasks

  • Understanding the opportunities, the account presents and preparing annual planning for growth of business with the account.
  • Growth of the account and delivery of financial metrics (revenue, volume, GP & DSO / AR where relevant) in line with agreed budget and development targets.
  • Business development planning and ensuring the implementation of regional & global business opportunities, from initial opportunity creation to establishment of stable operation.
  • Understanding where specific capabilities need to be developed in order to meet customer expectations, and identifying those needs to local, regional or global management
  • Serve as the focal point of contact for the customer, and develop & maintainstrategic multi-level relationships with those responsible for the various logistics functions of the customer
  • Be the internal consultant and coordinator for all aspects of business relationship & development.
  • Facilitate sharing of know-how about the Key Account.
  • Be the primary point of liaison with the Key Account on all business-related matters pertaining to overall business process & implementation, including new potential business, commercial issues, scope of agreement, business improvements, & ongoing performance.
  • Responsible for account development and growth including strategy mapping, account penetration, customer relationship management and business improvement initiatives including:
    • Gathering information to provide a clear orientation of the customer's potential.
    • Identification, detailing and evaluation of business opportunities.
  • Maintain an overview of account status and report as required.
  • Internal communication to key Schenker management to ensure clarity and alignment of all resources and operation.
  • Establish business Key Performance Indicators and benchmarks; use of these indicators to monitor and report on performance, as required & work on actions to be delivered & areas of improvement where applicable
  • Maintains Updated SOP for the overall business & communicates it to relevant teams.
  • Monitors cost versus selling to ensure a profitable business with an acceptable GP margin.
  • Conducts Regular Business reviews with customers.
  • Responsible for the customer reporting tool.
  • Maintains CRM Reporting tool (Sales Cloud) on regular basis.
  • Alignment with organizational units responsible for products and their defined strategies and objectives such as Air, CL / SCM, Land and Ocean.
  • Vertical Market planning where Key Account Management is organized.
Requirements

  • Strong business acumen with excellent interpersonal, and inter-cultural skills.
  • Business development strength with Sales, Key Account and Marketing experience
  • Has 3-5 years of experience in the same field.
  • Graduate of any field.
