WordPress Developer

Dot IT is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our team.

You will be responsible for designing, installing, building, and maintaining websites using WordPress as a primary CMS.

You will work with team members and interact with clients to understand needs, set strategy, spec projects, set expectations, and ensure project success and client happiness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites for clients.
• Directing and performing Wordpress and plugin updates.
• Testing appearance and functionality for a range of browsers and device types.
• Customize themes and plugins to meet client requirements and enhance user experience.
• Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance across all devices.
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring issues to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Recommend UI/UX improvements based on users' feedback and your own expertise.
• Manage and deliver tasks autonomously, working independently with a focus on collaboration, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Work hand in hand with the marketing, design, and content teams to upload, edit, or design website content to create visually appealing and effective websites.
• Make website-related decisions based on agencies, GA, Hubspot, and Hotjar data.
• Bring creative ideas to the table for website design and functionality.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Full understanding of Wordpress programming architecture & Woo-commerce architecture.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and PHP.
• Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar.
• Experience with UX and UI design principles.
• Preferably technical SEO background.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms and web technologies.
• Knowledge of website accessibility standards and practices.
