Department: Group Test Management Team


Location: Egypt, Cairo


Purpose of the Job


As an Automation Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright with TypeScript. You will collaborate with developers, QA engineers, Test Leads, and product managers to understand requirements and define effective test automation solutions. Your role includes executing automated tests, analyzing results, and reporting issues, as well as contributing to the enhancement of test frameworks and tools. You will also assist in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines


YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright with TypeScript.


• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, Test Lead and product managers to understand application requirements and define test automation solutions.


• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects and issues.


• Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks and tools.


• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve test scripts and frameworks.


• Assist in the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.


• Utilize "Azure Test Plan" for effective test management, including test suites and test cases creation, execution, peer-review and defect tracking.




ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?


• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Strong understanding of web application development and testing.


• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript and other programming languages like java and .NET


• Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.


• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.


• Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDCL) and Agile work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and others is a Plus


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
