Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Recruiter at Makan.Design. The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent for various roles in the company.

On demand tasks:

  1. Create and post job ads: Write and publish job descriptions on various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards, company website).
  2. Promote job openings: Share opportunities on social media, networking groups, and career fairs.
  3. Identify potential candidates: Use LinkedIn, job boards, databases, and social media to find qualified candidates.
  4. Proactively search for passive candidates: Reach out to candidates who may not be actively seeking a job but are a good fit for the role.
  5. Build and maintain talent pipelines: Keep track of strong candidates for future positions.
  6. Review resumes and applications: Evaluate qualifications, skills, and experience based on job requirements.
  7. Conduct phone and video screenings: Assess a candidate’s fit for the role and the company through initial interviews.
  8. Coordinate interviews: Schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  9. Prepare interview questions: Create and standardize interview questions to assess candidates consistently.
  10. Evaluate candidates: Gather feedback from interviewers and assess candidates’ overall suitability for the role.
  11. Communicate with candidates: Keep candidates informed about their application status and answer any questions they may have.
  12. Guide candidates through the hiring process: Support candidates through interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding.
  13. Build relationships: Maintain relationships with candidates, even those not selected, for future opportunities.
  14. Understand hiring needs: Meet with department heads or hiring managers to clarify job requirements and discuss the ideal candidate profile.
  15. Advise on recruitment strategy: Provide insight into job market trends, candidate availability, and compensation.
  16. Collaborate on hiring decisions: Assist in the final selection process and provide hiring recommendations.
  17. Ensure a positive experience: Create a smooth and professional recruitment process, from the first contact to the final hire.
  18. Provide feedback: Offer constructive feedback to candidates who were not selected.
  19. Extend job offers: Present offers to selected candidates and manage the negotiation process (salary, benefits, etc.).
  20. Discuss compensation: Work with candidates to ensure their expectations align with the company’s budget.
  21. Assist in onboarding: Help the new hire with the initial onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  22. Track recruitment KPIs: Monitor key metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, applicant-to-hire ratio).
  23. Analyze recruitment data: Use data to improve the recruitment process and make more informed hiring decisions.
  24. Report to management: Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment progress and hiring outcomes.
  25. Ensure legal compliance: Follow legal guidelines and company policies during the hiring process.
  26. Maintain records: Keep detailed documentation of candidate interactions and recruitment processes.


Qualifications

  • Recruitment, Sourcing, and Talent Acquisition skills
  • Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating candidates
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in the interior design industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field
