Retail & Business Development Manager

The Position
As a Retail & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Novo Nordisk's value proposition towards commercial stakeholders in the retail sector.
Your main accountabilities will be:
- Identify and assess opportunities in the trade channel to develop and implement Novo Nordisk's value proposition.
- Develop and execute strategies to communicate the value proposition effectively to commercial stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and compliance frameworks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key retail channel stakeholders to enhance business partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that drive business growth and competitive positioning.
Qualifications
As a Retail & Business Development Manager, you need to have the ability to develop effective commercial strategies tailored to the retail channel, considering market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape and negotiate trade agreements. In addition, you need to have expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with retail sector stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in medical, Pharma, bio-sciences or business
- 5 to 8 years of experience in the pharma, consumer healthcare or medical devices industry in trade channel management
- Minimum 1 year of experience in People Management
- Experience in the UAE market is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product information, negotiate contracts, and deliver compelling presentations to key stakeholders
- Strong ability to manage and nurture existing customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing concerns, and proactively identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities
- Ability to drive team performance, provide constructive feedback, daily coaching and support capability & career development
- Proficiency in English Language, oral & written
