Job Description
Wood is presently looking to hire a
Junior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for our Engineering team in
Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the role.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of data sheets, supporting the design deliverables
- The Instrumentation and Control Engineer is primarily engaged in the design, modeling, and analysis of Instrumentation and Controls engineering requirements on a project, as per client standards, international codes, and project scope of work
- Planning and executing Instrumentation engineering design for field instrumentation, detailed design of the instrumentation and controls part of the project
- Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system
- Co-ordination with Project and client
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Instrumentation engineering design
- Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Sr. Engineers / Leads and Discipline Heads
- Assimilating the evolution of new products and technology, and updating oneself on the latest international standards in terms of engineering design practices and their applications
- Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity
- TBE, VDR and follow-up engineering activities
- SPI tool experience is mandatory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation or Electronics) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry
- Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required.
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitude.
- Experience in SPI - Specification and loop wiring module
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
