Customer Services/Operations Assistant - Air Cargo

Our client is a top 10 full freighter airline operating a fleet of 11 B747-400 freighters providing charter and ACMI capacity in the global air cargo market. They have entered a new strategic phase by commencing scheduled services globally. They seek an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Customer Services/Operations Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting their clients and coordinating with partner airlines to ensure smooth flight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a full understanding of client needs and provide accurate flight schedule information as required.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to coordinate flights with clients and partner airlines.
  • Regularly send flight schedules to clients, keeping them informed of any changes and updates.
  • Monitor the progress of all flights (live and ferry) to ensure clients are kept up to date on their status.
  • Identify situations that require escalation to the Customer Services management team or the Commercial team as appropriate.
  • Conduct flight watch (live and ferry) and update the software with relevant flight details.
  • Notify clients of any de-icing occurrences.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the smooth operation of flights and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Customer Service and Commercial teams, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, operations, or a similar airline or logistics industry role is required.
  • Ability to work methodically in a fast-moving, time-sensitive business environment.
  • Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), prioritizing tasks, and responding accordingly.
  • Ability to work proactively under pressure, including during shift work and occasionally during unsociable hours.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Keen desire to work in an airline environment.
  • Ability to work methodically and proactively.
  • Knowledge and experience in airline flight and/or ground operations are desirable.
