Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Contracts Manager to join our Project & Development Services (PDS) team in Cairo, Egypt. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the contracts management process for various construction and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts and related documents.
  • Support the senior contracts manager in all aspects of contract administration.
  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure all parties adhere to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders, variations, and claims.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on contract-related matters.
  • Help identify and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management processes and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in resolving contractual disputes and participate in conflict resolution processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably in the construction or real estate development industry.
  • Familiarity with Egyptian construction laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • FIDIC knowledge and experience is a plus.
