Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.

What You'll Do:

1-Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.

2-Participates in the training, developing, and evaluating of hourly team members. 3-Leads Global Manufacturing Systems processes & participates in the development of highly effective teams.

4-Serves as resource supporting launch and pilot project activities.

5-Meets & exceeds production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements.

6-Maintains awareness of quality standards, and communicates department quality goals, and leverages resources to solve quality issues.

7-Understands and consistently administer the National and Local Agreements of General Motors.

8-Implements and follows systems that prevent re occurrence of known issues.

9-Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.

10-Motivates, trains, and develops employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods.

11-Ensure team members receive adequate JIT (job instruction training).

12-Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements.

13-Coach, teach, counsel and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities.

  • Bachelor of Engineering
