About Etijah

Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.

Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.

Project Background

Tomooh project is implemented by Etijah in partnership with Secours Catholique Caritas France (SCCF). The project provides Employability and Entrepreneurship Services to targeted youth to increase youth economic empowerment and to combat youth unemployment in Egypt. The project-specific objective can be summed up as decreasing the gap between the workforce and the job market. The program has two components: Employability and Entrepreneurship.

The employability component focuses on enhancing participants’ employability skills by offering soft skills training, career planning, and networking opportunities. Participants receive training in time management, presentation, leadership, communication, and computer skills, along with business writing workshops and career counseling services to improve their job-hunting abilities. Our training methodology incorporates a combination of workshops, group discussions, case studies, simulations, and interactive learning.

Duties And Responsibilities

Task: Organize Career Exploration Talks

The consultant will organize career exploration talks for 30 selected participants between 21 and 35. The talks will focus on providing participants with practical guidance on navigating the labor market, identifying suitable career paths, and acquiring the necessary qualifications to enhance their employability.

Participants will be in one group, participants will attend 6 days of talks delivered by experts in various sectors. The aim is to provide participants with insights into industry expectations, required qualifications (both academic and technical), and strategies to overcome common career challenges.

The career talks will take place over 6 Days (3 days online and 3 days offline)

  • The sessions will cover the following topics:
  • Overview of available opportunities in various sectors.
  • Skills, qualifications, and certifications required for specific career paths.
  • Career challenges and how to overcome them.
  • Networking and professional development strategies.

Responsibilities Of The Consultant

  • Career Talks: Delivering Career talks for one day or more from the 6 career talks.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in career development, human resources, education, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in career guidance or coaching.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations and diverse participant groups.
  • Strong knowledge of labor market trends, industry expectations, and career development strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
