Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, promoting Islamic banking products, and driving revenue growth.
The goal is to enhance product penetration and support ADIB’s strategic cross-sell initiatives.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
Work closely with Wholesale Banking Group and other stakeholders on new and existing corporate clients in portfolio under management and scope business potential.
Proactively arrange and conduct business meetings with prospective clients to promote ADIB’s Retail products and services.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities, customer needs, and market trends.
Track and manage the entire contract and agreement process, ensuring timely conversion and fulfilment of client expectations.
Maintain detailed records of sales, revenue, and other key performance indicators to monitor progress and inform strategic decisions.
Continuously promote ADIB’s products and services, anticipating and addressing potential client objectives and concerns.
Provide marketing intelligent on key competitors to ensure competitive proposition and packages are in place.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to create tailored propositions that meet the specific needs of clients while adhering to Islamic banking principles.
Increase key products penetration within assigned portfolio and channel leads to tagged teams through Lead Management team.
Provide employees of corporates in assigned portfolio with superior service level and swift conversion of leads (within TAT) in coordination with Customer Excellency team.
Provide exceptional customer support, addressing and resolving client complaints with a focus on maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Propose campaigns, identify opportunities to increase products penetration and propose policy enhancement items that are portfolio/employer relevant.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships that align with the bank’s objectives and values.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the banking.
Proven experience in customer support, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction and relationship management.
Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills, particularly Arabic, are an advantage.
Deep understanding of the market dynamics, especially within the Islamic banking industry.
Strong ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
Excellent time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of leading teams and driving business growth.
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong command of data analysis and reporting tools.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in Islamic finance is a plus.
