Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Regularly and proactively monitor all components of IT Infrastructure in all facilities where IT equipment is installed and take corrective action wherever necessary.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage the OLA to ensure that all corrective and preventive maintenance activities are carried out as per the schedule, quality & safety requirements.
  • Regularly and proactively monitor critical IT services as identified by Management. Escalate and follow up with Level 2 Support teams for issue resolution.
  • Liaise with IT Helpdesk staff in communicating with end users regarding planned and unplanned system outages, critical incident reports, etc.
  • Manage system backups as per defined procedures and frequencies; Conduct periodic checks to restore backup data to test integrity of backups; Maintain records of backup tapes moved between locations.
  • Maintain records of all activities performed by self / vendors / other support personnel within the Data Center premises. Be responsible for enforcing Access Policy at Data Centers.
  • Ensure periodic health checks for all IT facilities components by conducting proactive timely drills and checks throughout the year. Document the DR drill procedures and results.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of infrastructure procedures, operation instructions, user manuals, quality assurance program by adhering to ISMS standards & policies.

Required Skills And Criteria

  • Bachelor in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • 3+ years UAE experience
  • Valid UAE Driving License
  • Windows Server Operating System / Unix Operating System
  • Data Center Infrastructure Management
  • HPE Blade Servers & Enclosures
  • Data Center Facilities Monitoring and Maintenance
  • Application deployments
  • Data Center Physical Security Monitoring
  • Storage Area Network Monitoring
  • IT Service Availability reporting
