2 Role Purpose
Manage the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability strategy and frameworks. Lead and champion sustainability activities and practices throughout DCT, ensuring adherence to policies, and leading sustainability initiatives aligned with DCT's strategic goals.
3 Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Execution
▫ Develop and implement sustainability strategy and framework at DCT, promoting adherence to relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
▫ Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of the sustainability strategy, framework and programs across DCT, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
▫ Analyse market and sector trends to integrate relevant sustainability topics into DCT’s sustainability strategy and framework, ensuring regulatory compliance.
▫ Stay abreast of relevant sustainability regulations and standards, ensuring DCT’s alignment with international sustainability standards, commitments, and declarations.
▫ Establish, review, and update DCT’s related sustainability policies and procedures in accordance with organizational governance and policies.
Stakeholder Engagement
▫ Collaborate with various departments within DCT to effectively communicate and align sustainability objectives and initiatives.
▫ Promote and enable increased internal understanding and participation in the sustainability initiatives through communication and awareness programmes.
▫ Identify and facilitate training initiatives to boost sustainability awareness and capabilities among DCT employees.
▫ Act as a sustainability ambassador for DCT at industry events, showcasing the organization's commitment to sustainable practices.
Risk Management
▫ Conduct materiality assessments to identify and prioritize sustainability issues critical to DCT.
▫ Align sustainability risks with DCT’s enterprise risk management framework, incorporating these considerations into the sustainability framework.
Project Management
▫ Lead cross-functional teams to implement sustainability projects and initiatives, from conception to execution, ensuring timelines and budgetary constraints are met.
▫ Monitor and report on the progress of sustainability projects, adjusting strategies as needed.
Performance and Reporting
▫ Lead the establishment of sustainability target KPI’s and tracking mechanisms to monitor the progress towards sustainability goals.
▫ Prepare and present reports, presentations, and proposals on DCT’s sustainability initiatives and activities to stakeholders/management.
Shared Activity
Strategic Contribution
▫ Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies.
People Management
▫ Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the Section by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize performance.
▫ Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned section, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
▫ Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned section to foster a value driven culture within the organization.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
▫ Manage the preparation and recommend the section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
▫ Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement
▫ Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
▫ Proficiency in project management fundamentals, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

5 Qualifications
▫ Bachelor’s degree (Masters’ preferred) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration or any other decree within relevant industry.
6 Experience
▫ 5 to 7 years of experience in a Sustainability Management role, or equivalent.
7 Skills
▫ Language:
o Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing
o Arabic bilingual desirable but not mandatory
▫ Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
▫ Strong understanding of ESG principles and reporting frameworks.
▫ Ability to navigate a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy.
▫ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
▫ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
▫ Strategic thinking and the ability to align creative efforts with broader business
