Your role and responsibilities

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be based in 10th of Ramadan, Egypt reporting to the Quality & Continuous improvement manager. You are responsible for implementing the continuous improvement strategy/operating system at our site, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will develop and lead projects to improve and maintain business performance. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Business Division in 10th of Ramadan, Egypt. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Monitor of Business KPI.s creating improvement opportunities
• Tracking of programs, initiatives, projects, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Drive significant improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and/or cost targets and fulfillment of commitments to customers and stakeholders in collaboration with local management.
• Guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction using the appropriate problem-solving methodologies, involving all stake holders like production, supplier quality, engineering & R&D
• Lead the implementation of lean foundations such as 5S and other lean practices such as TPM, JIT, Value stream maps and lean logistics.
• Remove barriers to the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level in consultation with relevant stakeholders,
• Provide support in cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• Sound knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Minitab are an asset
• Preferred experience in Power fields
• Experience using 8D/Problem solving methodologies
• Proven track record in applying Lean and L6S methodologies
• Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge “status quo”
• High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality
• Ability to determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures
