Experience And Education

  • Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical or Process.
  • 6-9 years of experience in project management, leading projects in similar industry
  • Certified - Project Management will be beneficial
  • Preferable to have tank farm & piping experience.
  • Conversant with International standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, OCIMF, NFPA.
  • Execute projects in a brownfield environment following complying to the terminals Safety, Health & Environment regulations
  • Project planning in managing the scope, cost and staff, from the identification, selection and definition stages.
  • Execute project, i.e. deliver detailed engineering, construct the project and support commissioning and the project assets in the Execution and Commissioning Stage;
  • Manage stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  • Contribute in preparation and execution of the 3 Year Capex program including feasibility, scoping, estimation and meeting the KPI.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

  • Manage Production: Organize and resource project activities to meet objectives within organizational frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead information gathering and consultations, defining and agreeing on deliverables.
  • Set Baselines: Establish and maintain project schedule, cost, and scope baselines.
  • Scope Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and implement project objectives.
  • Requirements Management: Identify, document, and align project requirements throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor Performance: Track project indicators and seek approval for deviations.
  • Develop Design: Create functional requirements and conceptual designs using in-house and contracted resources.
  • Lead Team: Guide the project team from identification to evaluation stages.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Ensure timely communication with external functions and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Communication: Manage the permit applications and regulatory compliance.
  • Issue Management: Identify and escalate critical project issues efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Develop and maintain a risk management plan and register

Project Execution

  • Monitor and Report: Control and evaluate project capital expenditures, safety, health, environmental concerns, schedule, and quality.
  • Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation and hand-over of as-built documents, quality records, and vendor manuals to terminal management.
  • Asset Delivery: Deliver mechanically complete assets to the Internal Customer.
  • Commissioning Support: Assist with commissioning activities and performance tests, ensuring compliance with functional requirements.
  • Project Close-Out: Complete the project with necessary tests, certificates, and documentation.

People Management

  • Lead, coach and guide multi-disciplinary team Project Engineers/Project team members to meet project goals
  • Responsible for people development and performance management.
