Core Responsibilities

Take ownership of your work and our systems as a whole.
Design and execute scalable, low-latency, highly available, and highly-performant applications.
Develop code that is reusable, efficient, testable, maintainable, and extensible.
Work with the Product and Quantitative teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality code.
Contribute during all phases of project lifecycle.
Work as a team member in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
Solid 3+ years’ experience in Python programming.
Strong skills in both structural and OO programming, concepts, data structures, patterns, templates, concurrent (async/multithreaded/multiprocessor) programming.
Experience in using Amazon Web Services SDK – Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis - in a Python environment.
Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy.
Good knowledge of databases, SQL, and exposure to NoSQL technologies.
Experience with GIT.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to manage your time and tasks within a highly distributed development team without constant supervision.
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Experience working in an Agile development environment using SCRUM.

Preferred Skills / Experience

Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Experience developing in C++, Java.
Familiarity with LLM-powered systems
Experience working in a financial trading, research, or asset management environment and the understanding of the principles of real-time data and historical analysis within those Environments
Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE)
