Maintenance Staff

International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking passionate, dedicated, and dynamic Maintenance Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the school facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support a positive learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance and Repairs:
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify issues requiring repairs or maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, furniture assembly, and equipment repairs.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces in storage and maintenance areas.
• Specialized Maintenance:
• Plumbing: Install, repair, and maintain sinks, toilets, pipes, and drainage systems.
• Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and repair light fixtures, outlets, wiring, and basic electrical systems.
• Carpentry: Conduct minor carpentry work such as fixing doors, assembling furniture, and building small structures.
• HVAC Systems: Assist in maintaining air-conditioning units and ventilation systems.
• Groundskeeping and Facility Management:
• Ensure the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including playgrounds, parking lots, and gardens.
• Support with waste management and recycling efforts.
• Provide assistance during events by setting up furniture, stages, or other equipment.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Monitor facilities to ensure they meet safety standards and guidelines.
• Identify and report any potential safety hazards promptly.
• Perform emergency repairs to minimize disruptions.
• Coordination and Reporting:
• Work closely with school management and other staff to support daily operations.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized tasks.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment handling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and outdoor work.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours when needed.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or certifications in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
