About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Outlet Manager to join our Food and Beverage Team in Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. The main duties and responsibilities of this role: 

  • Organise and supervise the day-to-day operations of the F&B Outlet and ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner (which is consistent with operating policies and procedures and delivers service excellence)
  • Ensures team maintains a consistent cleaning regime. Record stock levels and comply with stock audit requirements
  • Monitor food hygiene standards and take proactive steps to maintain them and maintain an approach of continuous development to sustain the best hygiene standards
  • Maintain excellent guest relations and monitor guest comments
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and in line with Jumeirah grooming standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets
  • Manage the implementation of F&B standards in the outlet ensuring that staff take corrective actions as necessary in adherence to Jumeirah Group’s policies and standards
  • Monitor the profitability of the outlet. Identify areas and gaps for continuous improvements, provide recommendations and/or solutions to improve them and assist with implementing such corrective measures. Take initiatives to sustain them
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other Colleagues
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development
  • Consistently monitor the quality of food and beverages and service offered to guests and escalating any major problems/ complaints to senior management to ensure high service quality as per Jumeirah group quality standards
  • Presumes full responsibility of a specific Outlet(s) in the absence of the Outlet General Manager including and not limited to Forecasting, Audit and Compliance, Complaints and Escalations and smooth functioning of Outlet.
  • Actively seeks, collates, reviews and shares Guest feedback associated with food quality, service, and overall satisfaction and takes appropriate and timely action resolving any dissatisfaction
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests
  • Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures. Provide instructions and guidance to subordinates where necessary. Monitor Colleague’s adherence to relevant policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence
  • Work closely with Outlet General Manager to understand and achieve financial and department targets. Understand the department budget and financial statements and provide inputs where necessary. Assist Outlet General Manager in achieving maximum revenue and profit in line with budgeted and forecasted projections
  • Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programs and projects considering best practices, improvement of processes and productivity improvement.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all Guests are served as per the brand standard. Assist the Outlet General Manager in continuously growing the business
  • Accomplishes department’s results by assisting Outlet General Manager by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising performance as directed to all direct and indirect reports
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.


About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant field preferably within the international luxury hospitality industry; 1 years of which in managerial position
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills 
  • Project Management Skills 
  • Detail Orientated 
  • Familiar with Micros, OPERA, MS Office Applications (Basic Knowledge)
