As a data analyst and data engineer, you will work closely with the Head of Digital to develop and implement data strategy for the region. You will be responsible for creating and managing data pipelines, developing data visualization, setting up and managing data infrastructure and data flow. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders including function owners, & business to support the organization's decision-making process by presenting data-driven insights.
Your Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from various sources, process, and analyze it to extract actionable insights.
- Data Cleaning: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by cleaning and preparing datasets for analysis.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and business, to understand data requirements and deliver insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Communication: Present findings and insights to stakeholders, translating complex data into understandable and impactful business terms
Data Visualization & BI Tools:
- Design and Development: Develop and deploy Tableau & BI tools and reporting systems, ensuring they meet user needs.
- Data Integration: Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data is collected accurately and efficiently from various sources.
- Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize BI tools and systems to enhance their performance and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, business & technology, to integrate system, improve data flow, & understand business needs.
Data Engineering:
- Database Management: Perform database design, development, performance tuning, and maintenance to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval processes.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various source systems into the data warehouse, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality of data.
- ETL Development: Develop, test, and maintain ETL scripts and processes using ETL tools to ensure data is accurately collected, transformed, and loaded into data warehouse systems.
- Data Infrastructure Management: Develop and manage the data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data processing systems to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
- Data Security and Compliance: Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Analytical Tools Proficiency: Strong skills in analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Data Visualization/ BI Tool: Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to create insightful visualizations.
- Database Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems for querying and managing data.
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and integration
- ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar for data integration processes.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing data solutions.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a data analyst and engineer or similar role for 10 years.
- Exposure to insurance and the reinsurance industry is a plus.
- Minimum of an undergrad degree in Data science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
