The Construction Project Coordinator will assist in managing all phases of construction projects, supporting the Project Manager to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget. This role involves effective communication with stakeholders, coordination of project activities, and maintaining project documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Project Support:
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects.
    • Support project teams, including Junior Project Coordinators and Project Assistants.
    • Aid in project estimation, bidding, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
    • Assist in addressing and resolving project-related issues or conflicts.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Help coordinate and manage various aspects of the construction process, including permit submissions and change orders.
    • Ensure compliance with project-specific safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in constructability reviews during the design phase to assess project feasibility.
    • Assist in reviewing subcontractor and supplier invoices for alignment with project budgets.
    • Help implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet project specifications.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Assist in generating and presenting project reports to senior management and clients, highlighting progress and risks.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and meeting minutes.
    • Utilize project management software to track and document project activities.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Educational Level/Required Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project coordination or management.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, building codes, and regulations.
