Overview
This role is responsible to operate medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Position patients accurately to capture clear and precise images.
Perform imaging procedures as directed by physicians and get additional approvals if necessary.
Prioritize patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and minimizing exposure.
Explain procedures to patients to ease their anxiety and ensure comfort.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images accurately.
Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, patient data, and equipment maintenance.
Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and patient care through ongoing education.
Record radiation dosages, ensuring adherence to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
Foster a supportive environment to enhance patient-centered care and communication.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Radiology Technology, Medical/Diagnostic Imaging, or a related program.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in general radiology.
A minimum A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in CT radiology.
