Job Description
Job Purpose:
The job-holder is required to support the relevant sub unit within Group Finance to ensure in the day to day activities of the sub unit and ensure that the tasks assigned are executed accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support to ensure all transactions are correctly accounted for in GL and other OGL modules as well as other core systems
- Support preparation and presentation of relevant Finance reports which need to be sent to internal stakeholders.
- To proactively support financial control and other finance teams to ensure there are effective checks and financial controls in place.
- Provide support in:
- Maintenance of Chart of Accounts / parameters
- Support all system changes / enhancements
- Support process optimization through focus on automation
- Provide support in
- Proactive interaction with finance and key business stakeholders.
- Support all audits and reviews with external, internal and government auditors and regulators.
- Support and ensure that there is compliance with all internal policies and procedures and external regulations.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting, reporting and financial management.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and reporting aspects.
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
- Ability to interact other team members.
