A Day in the Life

Partner with Middle East functional and business leaders to meet regional goals and objectives. Perform quantitative analysis to forecast and report financial performance. Provide financial analysis to operating units and leadership team to support management decisions.

Based in Cairo, the candidate will support Middle East stakeholders who are based in Saudi, Levant and Gulf countries. Minimal travel is required and will be mainly to Middle East HQ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will report to Finance Director Middle East.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Analyze actual vs. forecast performance, with an emphasis on understanding and communicating how the company will meet its financial commitments. Clearly and concisely communicate expected and actual financial results and the activities underlying those results. Monitor monthly actual spending and run variance analysis.
  • Use a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and finance theory to help business partners understand the financial implications of potential business decisions. Identify, analyze, communicate and provide suggested solutions to resolve financial issues which impact business objectives.
  • Leverage information systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of forecasting and analysis.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly closing activities to ensure reported financials are stated in accordance with GAAP and are available on a timely and consistent basis.
  • Liaise with business partners, regional finance and other functions on Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting activities.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • 5 + years of experience as a financial analyst in a reputable firm. Experience with one of the big 4 audit firms is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel. Hyperion/SAP is a plus
