Specific Responsibilities
The Deputy Area Coordinator in conjunction with the EGPC appointed counterpart is responsible for liaising between the Deputy Production Operations GM, Field personnel and the Facilities Engineering and Projects group (FEP) for the initiation coordination and approvals of work to be done by the FEP and specific projects as directed by the Deputy Production Operations GM or Field personnel. This is a Cairo based role and consists of two to four positions
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Intimate familiarity with wells, gathering system, EPFs, trucking requirements, flow rates, pressures, facility capacities / constraints, oil, water and gas ullages.
- Evaluate with Field personnel and counterpart’s tie-in options to put upcoming recompletions and new drills on stream as quickly, cost effectively and safely as possible.
- Evaluate with Field personnel and counterpart’s facility and gathering system constraints and debottlenecking options to maximize production in a timely and cost effectively manner.
- Initiate and follow through to approval the requisite paperwork to meet the above objectives, including ARs, AFEs, MOCs, etc.
- Coordinate work with Field personnel, other departments such as Materials and Asset Integrity. Follow ongoing field activities, project updates, and propose alternative options if required to optimize resources, minimize deferrals and ensure schedules are being met or exceeded.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of a BS degree in an engineering field (petroleum, mechanical, chemical, etc.)
- 8 to 10 years operations / facilities engineering experience that includes well operations, gathering systems, water flood, oil and gas process systems, safety programs, etc.
- 3 to 5 years exposure to gathering system / pipeline / process modelling using Aspen Hysys, GAP, ProMax or PipeSim
- 3 years’ experience in an international JV environment
