Position Summary

Effectively manage a high-performance team of, Medical Field Managers and Medical Delegates to provide accurate information to HealthCare Professionals about Nestlé's Infant Nutrition products, their features, advantages, benefits and their appropriate use within the Code of Ethics and Nestlé's Instructions, in order to increase confidence in Infant Nutrition products.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

Area Management

  • Manage and coordinate the planning, implementation and participation in all country field operations activities to achieve both long-term and short-term business objectives
  • Develop and achieve Market Share targets in accordance with the country business plan
  • Be responsible for the effective and appropriate implementation of resources and activities by the field operations team so as to achieve efficient area coverage and market penetration with optimal manpower support
  • Collaborate with the Brand Management Team in the development and execution of the marketing plan
  • Ensure own strict adherence and compliance, as well as that of his Medical Delegates and their activities, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestle Instructions and local country codes.
  • Ensure that Medical Field team complies with Nestlé’s strictest requirements that they will not seek contact with, or give advice to pregnant women, or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity
  • Maintain effective control and monitoring of operational costs within budget and maximize the return of investment of selling expenses
  • Conduct regular reviews with team, sales counterparts and trade partners to update on area plans and strategic activities for effective execution, review performance and facilitate discussions
  • In liaison with Regional Field Operations Managers ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of field operations team, actively participating in recruitment processes
  • Oversee all communication and collaboration between the field operations team and third party representatives
  • Work closely with Performance Development Function to ensure smooth operation of the performance development plans and CRM (LUPA)

People Management

  • Responsible for the coaching, development and performance management of the field operations team
  • Collaborate with the Performance Development Manager to develop a coherent training and development program for Field, Back Office and Sales teams, distributor and cross-functional teams in the areas of knowledge (WHO Code, National Code, Nestle Instructions, product concepts), skills (professional detailing, territorial management, area development) and motivation

Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with top health officials and top KOL’s in line with the business and contact strategy
  • Ensure strong partnership with MOH and key local Societies
  • Be one of the company’s principal representatives to KOLs and ensure that all activities carried out by the field operations team do not jeopardize the corporate image of Nestle, always seeing to it that these are within the WHO Code / Nestlé instructions as well as national regulations.

What will make you successful?

  • 7-10 years of total experience, including 3-5 years as a second-line manager.
  • Must have experience in Nutrition or Pediatrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a related field.
  • Cross-functional experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in challenging or demanding market environments to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Experience managing a regional team.
  • Experience managing projects and tasks, including organizing activities with medical and paramedical health professionals on topics related to infant nutrition, products, R&D, etc.
