Position Description

The incumbent of this position is responsible for developing Amideast marketing strategies, activities, and concepts for the Cairo and Alexandria offices. They are also responsible for developing, implementing, and sourcing sponsorships for all Amideast events specifically those at the Amideast Alexandria facility. They oversee the development of all marketing materials both below and above the line. s/he will be responsible for managing projects and ensuring the organization’s messages are consistent with the developed branding. s/he will be developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking conversions rates of digital marketing; creating promotions; planning meetings, educational fairs, and booths; maintaining databases, and preparing periodical reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Amideast annual marketing strategy and marketing activities that are organization and program specific
  • Develop the core communications for all Amideast programs that is to be used across below and above the line marketing and digital marketing campaigns
  • Create marketing and public relations action plans for organization wide activities for specific products and prepare and execute promotional tactics and actions for all Amideast programs and products including launch campaigns and outreach plans for programs
  • Build on and maintain Amideast branding standards with all marketing communications and monitor corporate communications plans and strategies for uniformity in message, including templates, tag lines, and logo usage
  • Maintain organization website and ensure the information and data is regularly updated
  • Ensure Amideast presence at educational exhibitions and fairs by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; and coordinating with relevant departments for successful event presence
  • Monitor marketing expenditure and ensure alignment with marketing budget
  • Analyze and report on marketing campaigns comparing actual results with plans and forecasts and generating analysis for the performance of the advertisements to ACD, AD, and CD
  • Monitor the creation and publishing of all online ads on social media; includes designing posts, drafting ad message, and adjusting the targeting parameters
  • Produce program specific promotional videos to be featured on various digital platform
  • Develop and implement the annual business plan for the CMD products/testing services
  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns that complement the sales forecasts
  • Develop promotional presentations and coordinate the production of promotional materials for all Amideast programs for organization-wide use including flyers, brochures, posters, booklets, and banners
  • Responsible for an annual detailed marketing competitor analysis report that identifies and evaluates product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertisement while maintaining research database and collecting and generating marketing intelligence to support the sales department and inform program pricing and positioning on social media and design
  • Closely coordinate campaigns with the CS department and utilize the call center marketing report to inform the targeting of social media posts
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the entire organization (or lines of business and brands within an organization) in order to attract potential customers and retain existing clients
  • Ensure the flow of walk-in clients through the creation of campaigns that result in conversion to real numbers of interested clients accessing Amideast through the call center and customer service
  • Launch monthly direct marketing (email and SMS) campaigns to a wide base of audience
  • Supervise the work of the social media specialist and review samples of the responses and answers to the questions raised by fans and followers
  • Develop marketing and pricing strategies, generate new business leads, and oversee marketing department staff
  • Develop the Amideast Alexandria strategy with regards to utilization of the property clearly identifying potential target audiences, pricing schemes, and other business requirements including security, event staffing, and catering
  • Generate revenue associated with special events at the Alexandria Property through sponsorship, facility rent, or other creative utilization options and manage event budget
  • Prepare a prospectus and presentation to be used for the marketing of the Alexandria property
  • Ensure consistent revenue stream for the Alexandria office through the utilization of the Alexandria property and secure annual target defined sponsorships for events at the property
  • Manage vendor relationships with the operations team
  • Maintain client communications with regards to program outreach
  • Oversee the centralization of the Amideast contact database for events, client outreach, and newsletter dissemination

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong experience in and understanding of marketing principles in an education context or related field together with an understanding of the latest technologies in social media
  • Deep knowledge and experience with marketing strategy, digital marketing and branding
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experienced with Adobe Photoshop CS5 or higher
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills
  • Effective project management skills
  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative
  • Should be able to deliver creative and innovative ideas
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines while coordinating multiple tasks at the same time
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in written in English and Arabic with a score above 700 on the TOEIC test equivalent to a B1 on the CEFR

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, digital marketing, or organizational development
  • Professional marketing certificates, training, diploma, Masters degree is preferred
  • At least 10 years of solid experience in the field of marketing with a preference for experience in the area of marketing for NGOs or educational institutions
