Aga Khan Foundation
The position
BACKGROUND
The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization established in 1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. OHF is the implementation agency for the Aga Khan Foundation Egypt and is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network of organizations and was founded by Om Habibeh Mohamed Shah Aga Khan to contribute to and support local communities in the governorate of Aswan in areas including health care, education, and providing income for deprived communities through long-term development activities. OHF works in the following areas: Continuing Education, Civil Society, Agriculture and Food Security, Economic Inclusion, Women Empowerment and Early Childhood Development.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is an international impartial medical and humanitarian organization of a private, independent and non-profit nature acting in accordance with the principles and rules of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and international medical ethics, in conformity with its Charter.
OHF and MSF are collaborating to conduct mobile clinics in Aswan Governorate, aiming to contribute to the reduction of morbidity and mortality in the region.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
The Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing revenue, expenses, entries, invoices, and other accounting documents. S/he will be responsible for the daily data entry and provide proper & accurate information for different reporting and budget preparation. S/he will provide admin support to organization staff/visitors and Villa admin. work, and will be responsible for office maintenance & procurement process.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare day to day cash & bank operations and prepare banks’ reconciliations.
- Review all payments requests, memos, contracts, suppliers’ payments, advances, petty cash, ... etc., and submit for proper approvals and process payments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and donors’ compliance measures.
- Prepare journal entries and general ledger operations & ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system.
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records.
- Prepare legal tax forms and social insurance and process due payments.
- Assist in preparing monthly / quarterly or yearly reports for internal & external parties.
- Participate and assist in any audit to OHF internal or external.
- Administer accounts receivable/payable, reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare all procurement process, maintain proper documentation and maintain suppliers’ records.
- Assist in office maintenance, assets, safe keeping and maintain & update assets registers.
- Prepare payment request according to internal procedures of the foundation.
- Responsible for Villa petty cash disbursements, replenishment, and petty cash count.
- Provide adequate administrative technical support to the operations department and Villa.
- support the Villa budgeting process by gathering relevant data and assisting in budget preparation.
- Managing all facilities functions including Villa maintenance.
The requirements
Required Qualification
- Bachelor degree in finance or accounting.
EXPERIENCES
- Two to four years relevant accounting & admin experience, preferably in the field of development.
- Good Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Very good with Microsoft office applications especially Excel including advanced Excel.
- Knowledge in relevant accounting ERP software such as BC/Dynamics software

Work is in-office.
