Payroll officer

National Fire Fighting Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer of firefighting equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll for all employees.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefits deductions.
• Reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
• Stay informed on payroll regulations and laws to ensure compliance.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments for accurate and timely payroll data processing.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information and records.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing and management experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
