Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiographer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform routine radiographic procedures independently, adhering to departmental policies and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of radiographic examinations to produce high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures while considering their physical and psychological needs.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff through best practices in radiation protection.
- Ensure accurate documentation of imaging identification and patient records.
- Assist in complex radiological examinations under the supervision of Radiologists and senior staff.
- Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment and manage inventory of radiology supplies.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and emergency protocols.
- Provide clear explanations to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification experience in the general radiology field.
- Strong knowledge of radiation protection techniques and imaging protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient care.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal, professional, and organizational standards.
