Job Description:
The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile development teams to achieve their highest potential, fostering a collaborative environment and driving Agile practices and principles. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to facilitate team dynamics and remove impediments.
Responsibilities:
1. Facilitation of Agile Practices:
· Act as a servant leader for the Agile team, facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
· Coach team members on Agile principles and practices to promote continuous improvement and high-performing teams.
2. Team Empowerment:
· Empower the team to self-organize and make decisions, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency.
· Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions to ensure focus on sprint goals and delivery commitments.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
· Communicate project status, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders and management, escalating issues as needed.
4. Continuous Improvement:
· Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution within the team.
· Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and implementation of action items to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
5. Metrics and Monitoring:
· Monitor team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
· Use Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) to maintain transparency and visibility of project status and tasks.
6. Training and Mentorship:
· Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on Agile practices, roles, and responsibilities.
· Support the adoption of Agile frameworks and best practices across the organization.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
· 2-4 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development or IT projects.
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and their application in different contexts.
· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist) is preferred.
· Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals in a dynamic environment.
· Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Experience using Agile tools and project management software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) to manage workflows and track progress.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
· Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in Agile practices and methodologies.
