  • Provide support to the Finance Controller in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the accounting and financial reporting of EIA
  • Interact closely with Investment Operations to ensure accurate books and records are maintained and aligned between operations and financial records
  • Prepare the draft IFRS compliant financial statements for mid-year and year end
  • Prepare the quarterly Management Accounting pack and ensuring that all links to other reports are accurately maintained
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial accounting records for all activities and the timely and effective closure and full reconciliation of each month end within agreed timescales
  • Prepare the EIA’s annual budget is using zero based budgeting principles with line managers and budget owners.
  • Responsible for the completion periodic reconciliation on a timely basis between accounting, performance and portfolio management systems to ensure consistency of data across all systems.
  • Work closely with Internal Audit to ensure that internal audit findings are responded to and acted on within agreed time scales.
  • Ensure periodic review is completed of the Finance policy manual making recommendations for changes and improvement.
  • Responsible for being the subject matter expert for EIA’s accounting software and ensure all upgrades or enhancement of systems are planned and implemented in a controlled, well documented and effective manner

متطلبات الوظيفة

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Management.
  • Preferably qualified accountant (CPA/ACCA/ICAEW) with international experience
  • 8+ years post-qualifications experience with exposure to the accounting for derivatives and complex financial instruments under an IFRS environment.
  • Experience in accounting and preparing financial statements in an asset management or pension fund background
  • Well-versed and considered an expert in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Should be familiar with business practice and culture in the region
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • In-depth Finance expertise across all processes
