Technical Accountabilities
Project Management:
- Develops and executes project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Leads and manages multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and contractors to coordinate efforts and achieve project goals.
- Manages project expenses, ensures cost-effectiveness, and optimizes resource utilization to maintain financial control and efficiency.
- Tracks progress, prepares reports, and conducts project evaluations to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Risk Mitigation:
- Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks to minimize potential issues and ensure project success.
- Ensures compliance with quality standards, regulations, and codes to meet legal requirements and maintain high standards.
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinates with stakeholders, clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate communication and collaboration.
- Manages contracts, negotiates changes, and resolves disputes to ensure contractual obligations are met and issues are addressed.
- Builds and maintains client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business to foster long-term partnerships and business growth.
Project Compliance:
- Oversees construction activities, ensures site safety, and enforces regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's)
- Bachelor's Degree: Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Certifications: PMP, PMI, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of experience in civil project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Asana).
- Knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit).
- Understanding of local and international building codes.
