Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. This includes patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. The role requires a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and education, while maintaining high standards of care in a critical care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer pre- and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in emergency response situations (Code Blue, Rapid Response) and provide critical care.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and recovery processes.
  • Monitor specialized equipment, including ventilators and CRRT, and adjust as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Manage medication and supply inventories, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and waste management protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, promoting a collaborative and educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Valid nursing license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in intensive care nursing.
  • In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle emergency and high-pressure situations with professionalism and competence.
  • Ability to educate and support patients and their families through complex healthcare scenarios.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation and invasive monitoring devices.
